I absolutely loved reading  The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern, so much so I had a little attempt at illustrating scenes and quotes from the book. This is a poster I have recently completed for my creative writing class. We are having a nerve-wracking reading of some of our own pieces of writing. Having been repeatedly told that I have a ‘little voice’ I need some kind of Brian Blessed style projection help or my performance is looking to be a cross between Marcel Marceau and Whispering Bob Harris!

The poster uses my own drawings adapted and coloured in Illustrator, the curly font is called ‘Alice In Wonderland’ and I think it fits in well with the theme.

This is a simple inky pen drawing, with a tiny bit of cleaning up in Photoshop. I have a lot of these black and white drawings and I digitally mess around with them a lot. However I’m in two minds whether to keep them black and white or to get some colour in there! This was one of the first ones I did, I like to draw quite whimsical, fairytale scenes then to add a pair of evil eyes watching from under the bed!
